snow, snow, snow

We got about 4-5 inches of snow this week! It was very powdery snow, so when Grant and I got out to shovel, it wasn't too much work. Here's a view of our house with the white blanket.

Grant loves how his cattle in these pens look when they are all lined up... lots of different colors. So, he had to get a picture of his favorite things... his wife and his cattle! HA!

Of course, here's Gus playing in it. He's actually not a huge fan of the snow. He doesn't like it sticking to his paws. :)

Hoisington!

All of my dad's side of the family gathered in Hoisington, KS to celebrate my grandma's 80th birthday!! We were ALL there... at the same time... that doesn't happen very often. We have a tradition of taking an entire family picture with everyone in it... every year. We have continued this tradition, but the last few years, it has not been possible to get everyone together. The picture would have certain people missing. We finally got an entire family picture this year! I don't have that one to post right now, but here is one of all of the cousins (and cousin's kids and spouses). We are somewhat in order from oldest to youngest. That is yet another tradition!

(and with Dad's eyes closed) :)

Party time for Grandma! Grant and I were sad that we couldn't be there for the actual party on Dec. 26th as we had some fabulous weddings to attend! We did get there on Sunday morning though.

Grandma looking at her scrapbook that we all contributed pictures and letters to. My fabulous mother put it all together beautifully!

Happy Birthday again, Grandma! We love you!

(thank you Sarah for the pictures!)
