Brett and Kati's wedding

This weekend we went to St. Louis for my cousin Brett's wedding to his beautiful bride Kati! It was so good to be able to make it for the wedding, even if we had to leave early to make it to our second wedding of the day. Anna is quite the party girl! Well, she actually slept through pretty much everything, but that's ok.

first wheat harvest

On Saturday, Anna and I went out to get a little ride in the combine! Her first wheat harvest began shortly after she was born, so her daddy was very busy. We didn't see him much, but we knew he was hard at work! She slept through the entire ride, but I think she liked it. :)

Today we took Anna in to get her bilirubin levels tested again for jaundice. Still going down! Also, her weight is now 6 lbs. 12.9 oz., so she gained 3 oz. since Wednesday morning. Way to go, girl! All is well, and for that we are so blessed. Thought I'd give the update! More pictures here.

My mom has done some great documenting of her first week! Time at home with her has been wonderful so far. Such a sweetheart... Can't believe she's one week old today!

Welcome to the world, our precious little girl!

Anna...

was born at 9:42am on June 9, 2011 (same as her dad's birthday!)

was 7lbs. and 19 inches

had quite the conehead when she was born, but it's rounded out nicely

gets the hiccups a lot
sneezes a lot
poses her hands just perfectly by her face, like she's modeling
is eating really well and already gaining weight back at 4 days old
is the most precious thing we could have ever asked for!

Grant is in the field today planting soybeans. Here's a little of what my evening entailed...

Someone got a little dirty. So...

we went down to the creek.

Simon jumped in!

And swam around.

Then we headed home.

Where he then got a bath. Which he did not like at all.

But at least he's clean now!

Then we went and watched the kittens playing in the barn.

tornadoes

Yesterday Grant went storm chasing with Derek and a friend who works for the National Weather Service. They didn't see much, but did see a small tornado in Oklahoma. See the picture below. As I'm writing this, they are out chasing storms today, as it's CrAzY weather in Kansas and Oklahoma this afternoon. Hope there aren't too many tornadoes!
